How to improve your golf swing

For the most experienced and savvy golfers, it is common knowledge that a good technique is always followed by a good swing. In fact, a good technique is not enough and if you want to completely master your golf game, you must learn how to improve your golf swing as well.

Likewise, it is known to all golfers that flexibility is essential for the swing. Professional golfers, such as Tiger Woods, have stretching routines before they start playing.

Besides, if you were not blessed with an outstanding flexibility and happen to be a weekend golf player who sits from 9am to 6pm every day, you probably could use a stretching routine to help you improve your flexibility. There are specific golf stretches that you can use both before a round, and on a regular basis.

In fact, there is a lot happening in the golf swing that just is not natural movement for the body. From swinging, walking, and constant movement, golf can get harder on your body.

The best way to improve your golf swing is to identify exactly what it is you are doing incorrectly, whether it involves using the wrong clubs, too much slice, poor posture, or your aim is off.

All in all, if on one hand you have mastered the basics of golf but on the other hand you want to improve your swing, you can do so just by adjusting your stance, your position, and grip.

The idea is simple: start developing a pre-shot routine to ensure you, and the ball, are lined up correctly. Avoid bad habits such as taking your eye off the ball, holding your breath, and trying to get speed by swinging your arms rather than your torso. With a bit of practice and patience, you can improve your golf swing and ultimately your score as well.

Also keep in mind that the ability to increase the club head speed in the swing is a result of the rotational force that is applied, and this depends on the flexibility, strength, and power of your muscles.

We recommend a regular routine with different exercises and drills which will help improve many areas, including using a proper posture, perfecting your downswing technique, and improving your short game.
