The Top 100 Rankings by Today’s Golfer  is one of the leading references for rankings of the best golf courses in Europe, often regarded as a guide for golfers deciding on their trips at the beginning of the year.

The panel of experts with worldwide experience and comprehensive knowledge of specific areas enable the Top 100 Rankings to put together an integral list that reflects accuracy and reality.

The main criteria are design, scenery, playability, memorable holes, consistency, and the presentation of the golf course. Off-course facilities, customer service and tournaments, on the other hand, play no role in deciding the Top 100 golf courses in the world, as Today's Golfer assumes it only cares about the best golf courses.

Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection was voted with one of the 100 best golf resorts and as having some of the best golf courses in Europe, highlighting the Old Course, Victoria and Pinhal.

Dom Pedro Old Course

Dom Pedro Old Course Golf Club, often described as the "Grande Dame" of golf courses in the Algarve, was the brainchild of Frank Pennink in 1969 and is one of the oldest golf courses in the region.

According to the Top 100 Courses on the European continent, the Dom Pedro Old Course is a classy place to spend some thoroughly enjoyable hours.

The Top 100 rankings by Today's Golfer elected Dom Pedro Old Course as the second-best golf course in the Algarve and the fourth best in Portugal! At European level, it exceeded the initial expectations and reached the 36th position, much higher than the 82nd place it was previously.

As for the presentation of the course, it was considered the fifth best in Europe, stating that, although it has existed for some time, it shows no signs of being remotely tired.

Dom Pedro Victoria

Arnold Palmer designed Dom Pedro Victoria with the potential to host major international golf competitions in mind, striving to preserve the existing wetlands and native vegetation. The various lakes, which cover an area of 13 hectares, also act as reservoirs for irrigation water.

The wide and undulating fairways and the extensive water obstacles ensured the inclusion of Dom Pedro Victoria in Today's Golfers 'Best Golf Course in the Algarve', in 12th place. But Dom Pedro Victoria didn't only stay in the Algarve rankings, it was also considered the 25th best golf course in Portugal!

Dom Pedro Pinhal

Dom Pedro Pinhal was originally designed by Frank Pennink, having been improved by Robert Trent Jones a few years later.

The excellent conditions of this golf course and the fantastic holes, together with the amazing sea views, have placed this course as the 22nd best course in the Algarve and the 45th best golf course in Portugal!

Golf Resorts
